PEPPA

Peppa came to Dogs 4 Rescue after her owner passed away. She’s a Staffordshire Bull Terrier that seems to think she’s a lapdog. Always up for a hug, she’s been a hit in her first foster home and is now looking for a place of her own. She’s cheerful, charming and mixes well with other dogs, but she’d benefit from having her new home to herself.

LUCY

Lucy was rescued from the streets of Romania and has waited years to be chosen for rehoming. She’s a sweet, friendly dog who got her start in life late, but she’s a massive people-pleaser with a happy-go-lucky nature. She loves human company and being made a fuss of. She will flourish in a home where she can care for you and you can care for her.

BONNY

Bonny was found abandoned in a house and taken to a council pound, along with her sister. Facing euthanasia, Dogs 4 Rescue stepped in and have been helping her regain her confidence and trust. She has a fun, giddy side that’s gently peeking through, but Bonny's still working out that being on a lead is a good thing. She’s looking for a safe, quiet place to settle down, and would appreciate the companionship of another dog.

JAGO

Jago was an unwanted puppy who was taken to the vets to be euthanised at 15 months old - but the vet saw his potential and called Dogs 4 Rescue. He’s a Jack Russell-Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross, so he’s part lovable couch potato and part energetic go-getter. He’s full of heart and quick to learn. In times of stress, he’ll chase his tail but he’s happy in his own space and cat friendly.

WINNIE

Winnie found herself in a pound and was booked for euthanasia after just seven days because the facility were short on space. She’s got a streak of Belgian Malinois in her, meaning she is full of life and running. She’s eager to learn and please and just wants someone with an energy that matches hers. Adopt her and she’ll be a loyal friend, always there whenever you need her.

REX

Rex came from Cyprus after being struck by a car and contracting pneumonia. He’s an extremely playful ex-street dog who’s so sociable he’s become part of the welcoming committee at Dogs 4 Rescue, helping new residents settle in. He enjoys the company of females and the attention of people, always leading the charge on games, and prospering on praise and good times.

THEO

Theo was saved from euthanasia on his last day at the pound. His separation anxiety means he has complex needs so has to live at the rescue centre full time. He has an extremely caring nature and is often used to help other dogs rehabilitate, staying close to them whenever they need another beating heart next to theirs. Theo is food obsessed and gets ridiculously excited when treats are on the cards.

LOKI

Loki was found abandoned by the side of a road in Serbia when he was a puppy. A sensitive yet inquisitive spirit, he’s gaining confidence all the time. He can take time to come out of his shell with people but is very sociable around dogs. He’d do well with an adopted sibling to bounce off, loves water and exploring. His ideal second chance looks like a home with someone around most of the day, maybe with sensible teenagers aged 16+.

PANDA

Panda is a special needs dog who was paralysed in a road accident in Romania. She enjoys running about on her wheels and plays well with other dogs, so could live with a dog in a new home. She’s also lived with cats. Because of her needs, Panda is looking for a compassionate person who’s home most of the day. Dogs 4 Rescue offers full training and advice on how to look after her

BOO

Boo was a rescue dog whose family were facing eviction so had to part with him. He has separation anxiety after his treatment in Bosnia where he came from, so is now a shy, retiring type who’d like a relaxed home with company where he can feel like he belongs. He’s big on curling up on the sofa with a teddy, and gets on well with other dogs.

MARTY

Marty was a rescue dog who had been rehomed, but her family couldn’t look after her anymore. She takes her time getting to know people, but once she’s formed an attachment, she’ll always be delighted to see you and will open up and show you her best side. She’s a loving soul who would enjoy the company of a stable, confident dog who’ll want to play with her and help her feel safe.

TEDDY

Teddy’s owner was diagnosed with terminal cancer so had to give him up. He’s a Rottweiler/collie cross with an amazing zest for life. Bright, super friendly and up for playing, he’s a big sociable dog who can be heavy on the lead, so he’d do best with someone who can manage his size and strength. He’ll benefit from a quiet, calm environment where he gets an opportunity to burn off steam.
