Autumn Winter '26
Days of gold, dreams of glory
British heritage has a way of sitting in the distance, known and familiar yet eternally far from reach. It’s locked away like a mahogany box on a sill. Like an age-faded photograph, time stamped, occasionally. Mostly mysterious, increasingly so.
With history so readily bundled up under that catch all term ‘the past’, it’s easy to forget the connective tissue that once defined it. When it came to designing Uskees Autumn Winter collection, we wanted to explore this idea of a shared history many forget. Of overlaps in tradition that remind us where we came from and show us who we are.
Sport and workwear. Bound at the root, now worlds apart, became this season’s focus. Two styles of dress born from the effort and endeavour of ordinary, talented people who laboured to create something new, because they could.
We’ve celebrated the workers who founded today’s sporting institutions, the nostalgic colours of local amateur clubs, the golden eras of aprés ski, British mountaineering, and the retro terraces of casual culture. All of it as fondly recognisable as smoke purling in the sky on an October afternoon, long ago.
